Very interesting!
A Study of Asymmetry of Faces

I tried it myself on some modern day heroes!
Beside the fact that it doesn't look normal because the light on the face becomes symmetrical, it's remarkable to see how odd it looks with a perfect symmetrical face.



Look at Mccartney! He has one baggy, strange side and one good lookin' side! So on the left picture, he looks like a turtle and on the right he's prettier then the original Macca.



Fellow genius Lennon on the other hand has an almost perfect symmetrical face. Only the nose is a bit crooked. But aside from the light on his face, it looks rather normal! Especially when compared with Macca!


And look at this guy: emiel goelen is his name, and asymmetry is his middle name.
The left one is a freudian nightmare while on the right, he looks like Brian Ferry.

For teh win!

Second runner up (3rd prize)
One film stood out because it scored high on all aspects of animation filmmaking: story, direction, design, animation, strong characterization, timing, camera and editing.
Although the clue of the film can be foretold by the audience, it is the overall quality of the filmmaking that keeps the audience amused until the very last credit.
Third prize goes to the film that tells us the story of mankind’s eternal fight over money and how it can ruin friendship: Opgejut by Koen De Koninck (RITS Erasmushogeschool Brussels).

My goodness, they made me blush! :p
They forgot one thing: the great coloring by my dad :p

Here's a wacom animation I did, using the keys from Preston Blair's animation book. I think it's an amazing piece of animation and again (like Milt Kahl's work) a joy to inbetween.
